Additional Deputy Commissioner, Bishnupur District Hanjabam Bobby Sharma has instructed all Manipur government officers or officials posted in Bishnupur district to stay or station at their place of posting.

Order issued by the Additional DC in this regard on Tuesday asked the officials to reside in the government accommodation in the Sub-Division/Block of their respective posting, if available. In the absence of government accommodation, they may stay at a rented place and seek re-imbursement of the rent subsequently, with rates of rent to be vetted by Finance Department, it said.

It further directed that all the district level officers (DLO) and other officials should ensure regular attendance of office and should remain within the district jurisdiction. If any DLO or other officials are required to travel out of their District/Sub-Division/Block of posting, prior permission from the deputy commissioner should be compulsorily obtained, it said adding that the Chief Secretary will be immediately notified if any officials are found absent from their places of posting.

The order also stated that all DLOs should make necessary arrangement for installation of Biometric Attendance System immediately and should also consult with the Director (IT) for linking data flow to Central Server for regular monitoring at state level.

It added that countersignature of the deputy commissioner on all salary bills (Authorisation Slip) of DLOs are to be obtained compulsorily and same will be linked to the attendance recorded in the Biometric Attendance System once it is installed.
