NYK Thoubal invites applications for Outstanding Youth Clubs award
At the district level, the selected outstanding youth clubs will be awarded a sum of Rs 25,000 and at the state level the cash award will be Rs 75,000.

The Nehru Yuva Kendra Thoubal is inviting applications from the active youth clubs of Thoubal and Kakching districts for awards to be conferred as ‘Outstanding Youth Clubs 2021-22’.
A release signed by district youth officer of NYK Thoubal, Michael Thangminlien Mate stated that to encourage and support the growth of voluntary youth organisations or youth clubs in the field of nation building, the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India has introduced the ‘Outstanding Youth Club Award’, at the district, state and national levels.
At the district level, the selected outstanding youth clubs will be awarded a sum of Rs 25,000 and at the state level the cash award will be Rs 75,000. At the national level, three cash awards of Rs 3,00,000, Rs 1,00,000 and Rs 50,000 will be given to the first, second and third place winners, it added.
It further stated that youth organisations or clubs, which are registered under the Societies Registration Act 1860 or corresponding Acts of state or UT are eligible to apply for the award. The selected youth club for the district award would automatically qualify for consideration for the state level award, followed by consideration for the national level. The programmes conducted and services rendered by the youth clubs during the period from April 1, 2019 to March 31, 2020, will be considered for evaluation and adjudication for the current year. The selection committee constituted by the Government of India for the purpose will select the outstanding youth clubs.
The last date for receipt of application with supporting documents is February 15. The details regarding proforma, scheme, documents and others can be obtained from the office of Nehru Yuva Kendra, Thoubal, the release stated.
