The two-day Naga People’s Front, Manipur State Unit (NPF-MSU) Youth Conclave, 2024 was kicked off at Diocesan Social Service Society (DSSS), Mantripukhri in Imphal on Monday.
The opening event was attended by NPF MSU president and Minister of Water Resources and Relief & Disaster Management Awangbow Newmai; MLA Leishiyo Keishing; Ringkahao Horam, associate professor and HOD of Political Science, Modern College Imphal; Solomon Venuo, advisory board member of NPF-MSU; Paul Muinao, working president of NPF-MSU and leaders from divisional units including Ukhrul, Senapati, Chandel, Tamenglong and Sadar and delegates of the divisions.
During the conclave, Minister Awangbow Newmai highlighted the history of Naga and further expressed the role of NPF since its inception as a political party and role of youths in the political party.
Conversely, associate professor Ringkahao addressed the role of political parties in Indian politics and Samuel Risom on the topic of the essence of NPF as a regional political party.
