Imphal East DC office on Thursday notified the owners of the cattle and pony of Imphal East to prevent their cattle and pony from loitering at the event venues and routes in Imphal East regarding the G20 Summit.
An order issued by Imphal East DC Khumathen Diana Devi notified the owners of the cattle and pony of Imphal East to prevent their cattle and pony from loitering at the event venues and routes of the G20 Summit, including City Convention Centre, Imphal, Govindajee Temple at Konung Mamang, Classic Grande, Marjing Polo Statue complex, Marjing Polo Ground, Heingang Hill and the surrounding areas as well as the respective route including from North AOC leading to Ibudhou Marjing Polo Statue, Heingang.
The Imphal West SP vide letter no. 7/28/C-4/RO(G-20)/2023 dated February 9, 2023, has requested the Imphal East DC to issue appropriate orders to control the loitering of cattle, ponies and other domesticated animals etc on the roadside, especially during the ensuing G20 Summit, it stated.
It also directed all the owners of the cattle and pony of Imphal East to keep their cattle and pony in proper sheds or feed them at suitable grazing pasture grounds under the supervision of the owner and herder in order to prevent any loitering along the routes and event venues of the G20 Summit. Any owners violating the notice shall be liable to be punished under relevant Acts and Rules, it added.
