Inner Manipur MP Angomcha Bimol Akoijam on Saturday, extending his greetings to the people of the state on the auspicious occasion of Ningol Chakkouba festival, emphasised the laudable role of women in strengthening human bonds.
The MP, in his message, said that humans are relational beings and designed to rely on each other for survival. He also highlighted various kinds of human relationships such as family, friendship, community, society and others, adding that we humans are bound by all kinds of relationships and interactions.
He asserted that women play a pivotal role in strengthening and enriching societal bonds. He asserted that marriage is a bond between two families, let alone clans, localities, villages and even communities, adding that women play immense roles in establishing the same.
He accentuated the noteworthy philosophy of ‘maternal home’ instilled among the minds of the people by the women after they get married. The same epitomises the idea of remembering one’s true belonging, he said.
He quoted a line from one of the famous Meitei patriotic songs which goes ‘Pari emom samu pangalba sa napam lamdam khambi meihoure’, and asserted that the particular line imbibes the philosophy of ‘maternal home’ instilled by the womenfolk.
He maintained that Ningol Chakkouba is a significant means of preserving and upholding human relationships. The MP, on the occasion of Ningol Chakouba festival, called upon all to reaffirm their resolve and stand in protecting our motherland Manipur from the evil forces attempting to disintegrate the state.
