The Nongchup Imphal Apunba Meira Paibi Lup (NIAMPL) on Sunday raised strong condemnations against miscreants opening fire to threaten the meira paibis.

Speaking to the media at Manipur Press Club on Sunday, NIAMPL secretary Khuraisam Santi Leima said that on the night of August 18 around 10 pm, some miscreants came riding a Maruti white car without registration number and shot rounds of bullets at Naorem Leikai and Pishu Lampak of Thongju assembly constituency where the meira paibis were sitting.
