NHIDCL, PMU-CCP distribute water purifier, sanitary pads

During the free Medical Boot Camp, three specialist doctors attended to approximately 300 people who are students and denizens of the area.

The National Highways & Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd (NHIDCL), PMU-CCP on Thursday distributed Water Purifier and Sanitary pads for school students at Lanva Model Government High School, New Lamka, Churachandpur.

They also organised a Medical Boot Camp for the students and people of the area under their CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) Activity for the year 2022-23.     

The formal function at the LMGHS's ground was graced as Chief Guest by the concerned MLA, LM Khaute; as Chairman of the function by the Executive Director (P), NHIDCL RO – Imphal, DS Chaudhary; as special guest by additional SP of Churachandpur; as guest of honour by additional DC of Churachandpur and as Special Host by Headmaster of the LMGHS.

In the programme, held late in the afternoon, the General Manager of NHIDCL, PM -CCP made an introductory speech and felicitated the dignitaries where he also highlighted the work done by NHIDCL saying that, in NE India context they have the largest activity or presence in Manipur than the State of Assam.

After the distribution of the water purifier and sanitary pads the chief guest said that 'with clean drinking water and cleanliness being an issue here, the help provided by NHIDCL will go a long way with the school students fondly remembering the positive gesture’.

He praised the NHIDCL for the exemplary work in road construction which was a standard and benchmark for all the work that was made in village road connectivity asking the organisation to improve more and set an example to others.

‘As representative of the people my job is to fulfil the aspirations of my people and road, being one, is my priority and as people want a good quality road, NHIDCL had a stake to fill the aspirations of the people’, said the MLA of Churachandpur AC while recalling his association with the corporation since the time he was DGP.

The Headmaster of LMGHS, on the occasion, highlighted the shortcomings of teachers and other infrastructure shortcomings to the MLA ,where the MLA said that he had already talked to the Education Minister of Manipur in this regard.
