The National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL) has successfully completed road clearance operations in the Nung Dalal area under Nungba Police Station along National Highway-37, following a major landslide that had disrupted traffic on the vital Imphal-Jiribam route.
The landslide, which occurred earlier, had caused a temporary blockade, leaving numerous vehicles, including trucks carrying essential commodities, stranded for hours.
NHIDCL's prompt action and coordinated efforts have now restored smooth vehicular movement on the highway.
As a result, as many as 115 trucks, including oil tankers and LPG bullet carriers, have resumed their journey towards Imphal, alleviating concerns over the supply of essential goods to the region.
