The Zomi Youth Association (ZYA) held its general election at ZC Complex, ZC Veng, Khominthang, New Lamka and elected Thangsianbiak as its new president for a term of three years (2021-2024).

The new president was elected unopposed along with Lianzalal as new general secretary, Thangzalian as secretary (Finance and Resource) and S Thangboi as secretary (Treasurers and Property).

The executive members of ZYA were elected by the delegates from seven philanthropic organisations under the Zomi. The election was conducted by an election committee headed by president of Zomi Council, John K Ngaihte, who also administered the oath taking.
