DGP Manipur police has issued an order stating that the new offices of three SPs will be set up at the 2nd MR Complex in Imphal, after the original offices located at CID Office at Babupara, Imphal were razed in the wee hour of Monday.

As per the order issued on Monday, the office of SP Crime Branch Joyce Lalremmawi will be relocated to the second floor of 2nd MR Quarter No 6. The new office of SP (CID Technical) Bembem Nongthombam will be set up at the third floor of Quarter No 7, while that of SP (CID Security) Dr B Dhanapyari will be relocated at the third floor of Quarter No 8, it mentioned.
Meanwhile, Manipur Fire Service is yet to receive a list of the properties destroyed by the fire at CID office and their total estimate. An official of the Fire Service said that the details of the destroyed properties are not submitted yet as IG (Int) Nishit kumar Ujjwal is out of town at present. He added that it may take around at least two-three days to get the detailed list of the damaged properties and their estimated worth.
It may be mentioned that the fire had destroyed not only the furniture but all the documents and files of the IGP and three SPs along with computer, signal jammer, metal detector and many other arms and ammunition were burnt to ashes as well. However, the equipment of Bomb Disposal Squad under CID Technical were salvaged from the fire, sources said.
