A one-day national seminar on "Historical Aspects of Manipuri Literature" organised by YK College Wangjing was held at the Mini Conference Hall of the college on Saturday.
Principal YK College Wangjing S Giri, principal N Birahari College Khundrakpam NG Akashini Devi, and senior assistant professor Kha Manipur College Kakching T Kunjakeshore Singh attended the inaugural session of the seminar as presidium members.
The seminar discussed the historical aspects of Manipuri language under different topics. The paper readers include some assistant professors, research scholars from Assam and Manipur University and some noted college assistant professors from Manipur.
Teachers, students and Manipuri language activists took part at the seminar.
A souvenir which includes all the papers read by the paper readers was also released by the presidium members in connection with the event.
