No candidate filed nomination on the first day of filing nomination on Tuesday in Nagaland, official sources said.
"On the first day, no nomination was received for any of the constituencies in the state," the office of the chief electoral officer (CEO) of Nagaland said late Tuesday.
It can be mentioned here that notice of election for all 60 assembly constituencies in Nagaland was issued by respective returning officers (RO) on Tuesday.
While the filing of nomination for the Nagaland Legislative Assembly election 2023 began on Tuesday, polling is scheduled on February 27.
