Muslim CSOs urges for intervention to establish peace

United Meitei Pangal Committee (UMPC) Manipur, an amalgamation of all Meitei-Pangals (Muslim) CSOs urgently requested the President of India, PMO, MHA and National Commission for Minorities intervention to establish peace, tranquility, save integrity and harmony in Manipur without any further delay.

UMPC will never try to compromise when it comes to save the integrity of Manipur, stated a release on Friday. Accountability for the devastation for the past 100 plus days must be determined, it stated. Both the Union and the state government must fulfill their duty to provide justice to the affected communities. Their esteemed support as well as intervention would create a conducive environment in this juncture in our state Manipur, it added.

It stated that the committee has submitted a memorandum to  the President’s Office, PMO, MHA and National Commission for Minorities NCM, physically in Delhi for their kind intervention so that the extraordinary situation confronting Manipur can be redressed at the earliest and normalcy can be brought without any further delay.
