A gospel video album, ‘Ka Hinkho’ was released by MLA from Kangpokpi assembly constituency Nemcha Kipgen as she attended the Gospel event at Keithelmanbi as chief guest for the first time after her re-election as an MLA.
The video album ‘Ka Hinkho’ is the first initiative of Kimminnei Kipgen from Keithelmanbi Military Colony.
The event was attended by Nemcha Kipgen as chief guest and KSBC head deacon Lunjagou Kipgen as dedicating minister while Hekhup Kipgen, Paominthang Kipgen, and Dehlam Lhouvum, chairman, Keithelmanbi Village Authority as guest of honour, functional president, and chief host respectively.
The album was released by Nemcha Kipgen before it was dedicated by the dedicating minister in the presence of other dignitaries, the singer and her parents during the occasion.
Stressing the essence of Gospel music in building society on the right path, the MLA said that music is an important aspect of every society as it tells stories, releases emotions, builds bridges, and breaks down barriers.
She continued that there are various forms of music but not many have as rich a history as Gospel music and its importance to society is immensely vast as it promotes a spirit of hope and provides an outlet to worship God apart from going a long way in strengthening an individual’s and society’s faith in God.
Encouraging the singer, Nemcha Kipgen conveyed her hope that the Gospel visual album, Ka Hinkho will remind the Christians in particular and the people of the state of the secular world they live in and help them to keep self-aware and more connected to their spirituality.
Wycliff Lunneo Kipgen, a songwriter, composer, and prominent Gospel singer highlighted the various hardships faced by the Thadou Kuki Gospel singers as people are yet to consider the Gospel singers very important persons in society while highlighting the need to uplift Gospel singers in society.
Members of the Thadou Artiste Association also attended the releasing ceremony and enthralled the crowd with their melodious tune.
Meanwhile, the non-tribal residents of Kangpokpi town celebrated the victory of BJP candidate Nemcha Kipgen in the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly Election 2022 during the Holi festival at Kangpokpi town.
Mukund Pandey, a businessman of the town said, “As we celebrate Holi, which is considered one of the most revered and celebrated festivals of India, we are also celebrating the victory of our leader Nemcha Kipgen in the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly Election 2022.
He also pointed out that Kangpokpi is like a mini-India where a diverse community is living together and the local MLA has transparently and equally treated all the communities under her leadership.
Meanwhile, mothers (Imas) of Nute Kailhang irrespective of communities also celebrated the victory of Nemcha Kipgen at Nute Kailhang premise where Thabal chongba was also organised till late in the evening.
The programme was also attended by MLA Nemcha Kipgen where she also participated in the Thabal Chongba along with the mothers and others.
Khamba Meetei, a resident of Kangpokpi said that as part of the Yaoshang celebration, the mothers of Nute Kailhang also organised a celebration programme to show their happiness over the victory of Nemcha Kipgen for the third consecutive term in Kangpokpi assembly constituency.
He continued that as part of the celebration, an entertaining Thabal Chongba was organised by the mothers and the MLA also participated in the event.
He also said that all communities such as Kuki, Naga, Meetei, Nepali, Deshwali, Marwari, etc. have been living together peacefully in Kangpokpi assembly constituency. “We stand united on every occasion and festival while respecting the culture, tradition, religion, and festivals of everyone,” he added.
