Multicultural entertainment programme marks Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav in Churachandpur

A cultural programme was held at the Subsidiary Training Center-BSF, Gangpimual in Churachandpur on August 17 to celebrate the completion of 75th years of Indian Independence Day as a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.

A cultural programme was held at the Subsidiary Training Center-BSF, Gangpimual in Churachandpur on August 17 to celebrate the completion of 75th years of Indian Independence Day as a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav in which officers, jawan and families of BSF attended.

The cultural troop of the Central Bureau of Communications, Imphal, showcased its multicultural/diverse entertainment programme depicting the unity and integrity of India.

The cultural troupe, the BSF retirees and their families were welcomed and felicitated by IG of STC-BSF, Umesh Kumar Nayal.

The cultural troupe from Imphal, who are led by Sh Bimal Chandra of CBC, performed various famous dances like ‘Dandiya ‘ from Gujarat, ‘Lawni’ from Maharashtra, folk dance from Uttrakhand, ‘Lai Harouba’ dance from Manipur and belted out various patriotic songs.

All the participants enjoyed the programme which ended with the troupe performing the Manipur dance ‘Thabal Chongba’ (Moon light dance) in the end which was followed by a big feast.
