Rajya Sabha MP Leishemba Sanajaoba has assured to bring change in education in society and called upon all to contribute to uplift the society in his home state Manipur.
“Everyone needs to contribute their best level for a better society instead of earning wealth for their own benefit,” Sanajaoba said while addressing an inaugural function of ‘Tomthin Groups’ at Hatta Checkon road in Imphal East.
Tomthin Group has initiated scholarships for deserving students in the state.
Sanajaoba said that there are many capable and talented children in the state who cannot afford to continue their further studies outside the state. The initiatives taken by ‘Tomthin Group’ to give financial support to the students as scholarship will reduce the long-sufferings of the students, he added.
“From the government side, various educational schemes have been launched by the state government under the instruction of the Central government. And being an MP in the Rajya Sabha, I will extend maximum assistance to bring change in society through education,” Sanajaoba said.
Tomthin Group managing director Md Abdul Noor said the initiative was taken to help the students of below poverty line families at the time of their studies.
The financial assistance will be given to students starting from Class XII to higher studies, including technical, non-technical and others, he said.
