MP Jairam Ramesh visits Churachandpur, says Ima Market will be built in all 15 districts if Congress is voted to power

Appealing to the public to vote for the Congress, he assured that if the congress is voted to power, Article 371(c) will be implemented, Ima Market will be built in all 15 districts, one-third of all jobs will be reserved for women and 50,000 jobs will be provided annually.

Senior Congress leader, AICC observer and Rajya Sabha MP Jairam Ramesh on Thursday visited Churachandpur to campaign for the party for the ensuing state assembly election 2022, and attended a public campaign at LFS Ground at Bungmual, Churachandpur.

As part of the campaign, the MP also attended a public campaign for candidate of Churachandpur Assembly Constituency H Mangchingkhup Paite at LFS Ground at Bungmual, Churachandpur. Appealing to the public to vote for the Congress, he assured that if the congress is voted to power, Article 371(c) will be implemented, Ima Market will be built in all 15 districts, one-third of all jobs will be reserved for women and 50,000 jobs will be provided annually.

Calling BJP the “Bharitiya Jumla Party”, he said that the Hindutva ideology of BJP with the goal of one nation, one religion, one culture, has no practicality in India. He accused the BJP of “re-packaging, re-cycling, re-branding and re-planning” what the Congress had done.

Speaking on the occasion, former MP Kim Gangte said that though she was not a member of Congress party she attended the event acknowledging the secularism upheld by the Congress. The former member of the BJP accused the BJP party of threatening the “secular fabric of India”.

Stating that the economic inequality between the rich and the poor increases with the BJP rule, she continued that as part of the ‘Go to Hills’ campaign CM N Biren should go to the hills by truck instead of helicopters. She accused the BJP party of giving party tickets to drug overlords while declaring ‘War on Drugs’ by destroying only a few portions of poppy cultivation.
