The Manipur Naga Youth Organization, Headquarters (MNYO-HQ) on Wednesday decried the social boycott of newly elected Member of Parliament  from 2-Outer Manipur Parliamentary Constituency, MP Alfred Kanngam Arthur allegedly imposed by Meitei Leepun and My Manipur.

MNYO-HQ, in a release, urged the two bodies to retract the statement of social boycott against the MP, all the while asserting that Meitei Leepun and My Manipur must bear responsibility should any untoward incident befall upon the life of Arthur.

It urged Meitei Leepun and My Manipur to respect other community areas of influence and appealed to engage constructive civil discourse rather than issuing social boycott and other means to suffocate the rights of the MP as responsible lawmaker.
