RULE Malom is cruising with all win records, beating YUCC Kwakeithel Moirangpurel by 130 runs in the 1st MNCA Superplate Tournament 2022 played at Model Higher Secondary and Oriental College Ground, Imphal West.

Occupying the top slot in Group B standing, RULE Malom has won all their seven matches in the league to garner 14 points and is set for place in the semi final knockout qualifier. The other teams as per their point status are MPSC, RCA Lilong, YUCC Kwakeithel, ESU Wangkhei, TCMDC Thongju, SDC Laipham Khunou and KASC Khomidok.

Sent into bat first, RULE batsman tail-enders made a disciplined batting, to build up 243 runs for 8 wickets from 40 overs. Th Kishan top scored with 48 runs while N Sarojkumar got 44 runs, Rk Herachandra made 34 runs and S Suresh batted 30 runs.

YUCC bowlers Kh Punshiba claimed 3 wickets while N Sanjit bagged 2 wickets, Rahulkumar, Devraj, Amarjit chipped in with 1 wicket each.

In reply, YUCC top order batsman defied the pace attack of RULE with N Thoiba getting 31 runs while W.Lenin got 27 runs and Sanjit Singh got 22 runs but as wickets tumbles at the other ends, they wind up their inning in 28.5 overs for 113 runs for 10 wickets.

RULE bowler Jay Singh H claimed 4 wickets and was later adjudged as Man of the Match while Kishan, Ananda fetched 2 wickets each and Md Karim got 1 wicket.

In another match played at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium, PTCC Patsoi Part III beat PCC Mayaikoibi by 40 runs. PTCC made 161 runs for 8 wickets from 40 overs with Dominic Moirangthem making an unbeaten 31 runs. PCC bowler Th Santosh, Th Anand were the chief wicket takers, claiming 2 wickets each.

PCC in reply could muster up 121 runs for 10 wickets from 37 overs with Th Anand, hitting 31 runs while Ch Kenny got 15 runs. PTCC bowler Deepak bagged 3 wickets while Sohail Khan, Dominic, Sadananda fetched 2 wickets each. PTCC player Dominic Moirangthem was declared Man of the Match for his 2 wickets haul and 31 runs.
