SDC Laipham Khunou registered their first win beating TCMDC Thongju by two runs through DLS Method in the 1st MNCA Superplate Tournament 2021-22 played at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium, Luwangsangbam.

In a rain-truncated match, TCMDC Thongju made 125 runs for 10 wickets from 27.5 overs in a limited 40 overs match. In reply, SDC Laipham Khunou made 65 runs for 4 wickets from 17.1 overs.

With the weather condition worsening with rain, the organiser (MNCA) applied the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern method (DLS Method), which is a mathematical formulation designed to calculate the target score for the team batting second in a limited-overs match, to determine the winner. This is the first win for the SDC team from five matches.
