KIYC Kshetrigao brought  up their second win, beating YAC Yaiskul by 7 wickets in the 6th MNCA Plate Tournament 2021-22 played at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium, Luwangsangbam.

KIYC had played four matches, winning two and losing as many matches to occupy second slot with 4 points after IBSA Yumnam Leikai, who topped with 6 points in Group B.

YAC had a shaky start as they lost four quick wickets but middle order batsman Amit Singh stood firm with 36 runs and Dhaneshwor Singh, who got 12 runs to put up 103 runs for 10 wickets from 29 overs. KIYC bowlers Md Abdulla Khan claimed 3 wickets while Azmad, Abdul Hamid and Zakariya fetched 2 wickets each.

Chasing the target, KIYC too suffered two quick blows losing both the openers for 1 runs but Aneesh Ahmed took charge, hitting an unbeaten 62 runs from 44 balls while Md Kaosar batted with 13 runs for the victory in 13.1 overs for the loss of 3 wickets.

YAC bowlers H Guneshwar and Amit Singh bagged 1 wicket each. Later, KIYC batsman Aneesh Ahmad was declared the Man of the Match for his match winning knock of 62 runs from 44 balls.

In tomorrow's match, Oscar Paona Bazar will play UCC Uripok at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium.
