With the second wave of COVID-19 sweeping Manipur, Kangpokpi Assembly constituency MLA Nemcha Kipgen, exhorted the local populace of Kangpokpi to fight back against the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic .
As Kangpokpi reels under severe infection of the second wave of COVID-19, the local MLA has come up with a strategic plan against the second wave in her assembly constituency.
The MLA has constituted seven Covid Task Forces under her assembly constituency in area wise namely Kangpokpi Area, Keithelmanbi Area, Tujang Area, Kalapahar Area, Yaikongpao/Tumnoupokpi Area, IT Road Irang Area and Parsian Area, to coordinate with the district administration, medical department, police and other frontline workers especially in enforcing the Covid advisories, SOPs and guidelines.
MLA Nemcha Kipgen provided protective gears including PPE, masks, sanitizers, gloves, etc. to the medical superintendent of District Hospital Kangpokpi and medical officer of Kalapahar PHC and also to all the seven area wise Covid Task Force.
She then entrusted the SDO of Kangpokpi, Shyam Kumar to be the overall in-charge of the seven area wise Covid Task Force under Kangpokpi assembly constituency and directed him to arrange an ambulance within few days to be utilise in the fight against the second wave in her assembly constituency.
The local MLA appealed to the people of Kangpokpi to contact the following contact no(s) of their respective areas in case of any issue related to the second wave of COVID-19.

Meanwhile, the local MLA also inaugurated a 50-bedded Community Home Isolation Centre at BJP office, Kangpokpi on Thursday.

The inaugural ceremony was attended by DC Kangpokpi, Somorjit Salam; chief medical officer Kangpokpi, Dr J Touthang; additional SP (Ops) Kangpokpi Lalminlen Misao; medical superintendent of District Hospital Kangpokpi Dr Paotinlal Haokip; medical officer of Kalapahar PHC Dr Nengpilhing; KTC chairman Lunseh Kipgen members of KWWO and KYU and personnel of fire service.
BJP general secretary (organisation) in-charge of Assam, Nagaland and Manipur Abhay Giri, BJP Sadar Hills President Thangjamang Kipgen and former ADC Sadar Hills executive member BP Vikas Basnet also attended the inaugural ceremony of the Community Home Isolation Centre (CHIC) Kangpokpi assembly constituency.
Nemcha Kipgen also provided hypochlorite to the fire service for sanitisation as and when required. Financial aid was also provided to all the seven area wise Covid Task Force for their fuel and other needs in monitoring and ensuring SOPs and guidelines in their respective areas.
