MLA Nemcha Kipgen calls upon women in Kangpokpi to promote ‘Free Poppy District’

The Singsit Organisation general headquarters organised a “blessing convocation” for Kangpokpi assembly MLA Nemcha Kipgen for her kindness and generosity towards the Singsit's families at Keithelmanbi Military Colony on Friday.
Pastor United Pentecostal Church International, Kangpokpi Paovum Singson performed the “blessing convocation” of the MLA where he poured the anointing oil on the local MLA's head in the name of the Lord as a 'special blessing' while offering prayer in faith for her well-being.
Emphasising the importance of works, Nemcha Kipgen, quoting the Bible said that faith without works is dead.
“We all believe in God and even the demons believe and tremble, but faith without works is dead and a man is justified by works, not by faith only,” she said.
She exhorted the women to promote ‘Free Poppy District’ and urged everyone to stop cultivating poppies in their respective areas.
She also stressed the importance of cooperation, love and unity amongst all which had been practiced since time immemorial while urging the congregation to promote and spread love and unity while working in brotherhood spirit.
The Singsit Organisation general headquarters presented a Thadou Traditional Shawl Saipikhup and Singsit Ponve to the circle MLA as appreciation.
A prominent Thadou pencil artist of Manipur, Zamminlun Singson presented a beautiful pencil sketch portrait of Nemcha Kipgen to the MLA.
Apart from president Singsit Organization General Headquarters Songkholal Singsit; vice president Th Mangseh Singsit and Singsit Organisation Keithelmanbi Unit chairman Paosat Singsit also spoke on the occasion.
