Churachandpur AC MLA LM Khaute on Thursday distributed relief materials to eight relief camps under Churachandpur AC which is in addition to 11 relief centres he visited and provided relief material since Wednesday.

The relief items include mosquito nets, sugar, surf/detergent, soaps, toothpaste and brush, dal, dried beans, etc. The MLA told inmates that they are not refugees but taking temporary shelters for the cause of the tribals in their demands for separate administration from Manipur.

He assured that they would be relieved soon as 10 Kuki MLAs had made known their intentions to the Union government for a separate administration from Manipur.
