MLA Hangkhanlian inaugurates Mizo Upa Pawl at Konpui village

The MLA said that hearing aids and other necessary items will be provided soon for the senior citizens of his constituency on instalment basis.

The Mizo Upa Pawl, a community hall for Mizo senior citizens, which was constructed under Member of Legislative Assembly Local Area Development Scheme (MLALADS) since 2019 at the cost of Rs 10 lakh, was inaugurated on Saturday by MLA of Churachandpur, V Hangkhanlian at Konpui village.

During the programme, Hangkhanlian said that senior citizens are important people of a society. He also said that he will try to provide a traditional gong from his own pocket for the senior citizens. He further expressed his contentment on witnessing participation of the chief and leaders from the Lanva TD block.

The MLA said that hearing aids and other necessary items will be provided soon for the senior citizens of his constituency on instalment basis. Good road connectivity and adequate supply of water will also be initiated in Konpui area and moreover, Churachandpur district will soon have a medical college, he added.

Mizo senior citizens have promised their maximum support in electing him in the next assembly election, Hangkhanlian asserted.
