Khangshim Youth Club (KYC), Tengnoupal district on Sunday condemned the physical assault of two Khangshim youths allegedly by the escorts of MLA Mayanglambam Rameshwar Singh along the Khangshim village road on Thursday.
A statement by KYC stated that the physical assault of the two youths was without any provoked reasons, and alleged that the escorts were under the influence of alcohol. The miscreants further used their guns and rifles to threaten the villagers who came out to witness the incident after hearing the cries and screams of the victims, it further alleged.
Condemning the incident, the KYC stated that the communal abuses hurled by the allegedly drunken escorts have generated a communal disharmony and disturbed the peace of the village. uring against such incidents in the future, KYC appealed the authority concerned to compensate the victims duly.
