Mizoram chief minister Lalduhoma’s advisor, MLA Lalmuanpuia Punte on Saturday revealed that Lalduhoma has not mentioned any particular organisation in his suggestion to Amit Shah in letting CSOs involve in the peace initiative in Manipur.
This was announced during a press conference at Mizo People Council ‘s conference Hall at Hmuia veng Churachandpur on Saturday.
The move came following reports of Mizoram CM requesting Amit Shah to include ITLF to be a peace negotiator in Manipur’s crisis.
At the press conference, Lalmuanpuia Punte said that he had talked to Laduhoma who is in Delhi right now in regards to the said reports.
Punte conveyed that in regard to the proposal made by N Biren Singh to Amit Shah for letting Lalduhoma work as a peace mediator in the Manipur crisis, Mizoram CM had asked the Home Minister to include the CSOs of the areas.
Lalduhoma told Amit Shah that he is ready to be a part of the peace initiative and asserted that CSOs involvement will be a good initiative. However, he has not categorically singled out any particular organisation, let alone ITLF, said the advisor of the CM of Mizoram, in regards to the viral news.
Lalmuanpuia Punte, was presently at Churachandpur with his entourage which includes the secretary of ZPM, Fredy Vanlalngila and ZoRO Youth Wing’s general secretary Lalenlinga who recently attended the first anniversary of the Mizo Village Volunteers dias members on Thursday.
Lalmuanpuia Punte said that he had extended his stay in Churachandpur as Lalduhoma asked for him to have a feel of the ground reality of the area.
He has so far visited many offices of CSOs and interacted with their leaders, which he will further report to Lalduhoma, he added.
