Unknown miscreants made a futile attempt to break into an SBI ATM booth near Bank of India, Thoubal under Thoubal police station on Friday night, sources said. 

The incident came to light on Saturday morning after people discovered that a few parts of the ATM machine were broken, the sources said, adding that there was no sign of money being taken out from the ATM machine. 

A case has been registered at Thoubal police station in this connection.
