Miscreant threatens political workers of intending candidate

The workers of intending candidate of Keishamthong assembly constituency, Nishikant Sapam at Thouda Bhabok Leikai were told to stop political activity.

Amid the pre-poll violence that took place at Heirok, a miscreant allegedly threatened the workers of intending candidate of Keishamthong assembly constituency, Nishikant Sapam at Thouda Bhabok Leikai by showing a magazine of firearm in front of Likla Bakery on Thursday.

Speaking to the media at his office located at Thouda Bhabok Leikai, Nishikant expressed strong condemnations against the unknown person who threatened some of his workers. He said his workers were coming in a four wheeler (Tata DI) when a person wearing a green jacket stopped them and showed the magazine and threatened them to stop the political activity.

The people want free and fair elections and such pre-poll violence needs to be prevented, he said.  A case has been registered at the police station concerned.
