Minister takes part in Garib Kalyan Sammelan

MLA Nemcha Kipgen, who is also the Industry minister, on Saturday visited Kangpokpi town and participated in the 'Garib Kalyan Sammelan' press conference.

Marking the eighth anniversary of the BJP government at the Centre, Kangpokpi assembly constituency MLA, Nemcha Kipgen, who is also the Industry minister on Saturday visited Kangpokpi town and participated in the 'Garib Kalyan Sammelan' press conference.

The Garib Kalyan Sammelan press conference organised by BJP Sadar Hills District was also attended by all the mandal presidents along with their karyakartas.

It is a privilege and a blessing to witness our Prime Minister Modi's most fulfilling eight years of journeys in ‘Desh Seva’ where inclusive development of all the sections of the society especially that of the poor and needy has been given priority, said minister Nemcha Kipgen.

She continued that during the successful eight years of the BJP Government in the centre under PM Narendra Modi, there are various developmental schemes and projects, especially for the poor and needy, while there are also various new and innovative ideas born for the welfare of the nation.

In Manipur as well, under the leadership of chief minister N Biren Singh, many developmental schemes and projects for all sections of the society and missions such as ‘Go to Hills’, ‘Go to Village’, ‘Meeyamgi Numit’, etc. were introduced apart from the popular ‘War on Drugs’ campaign in the state, she said.

The Garib Kalyan Sammelan in Sadar Hills Kangpokpi district aimed to identify the needs of the people and implement all government welfare schemes effectively leaving no one behind, she added.

Meanwhile, the BJP Sadar Hills president said that the BJP government is also forming the District Development and Monitoring Committee where the local representatives along with Prabharis and district level officers will work together thereby collecting data from every village to find out the possibility of every household or village coming up with one product each for sustainable livelihood.
