Manipur Agriculture Minister O Lukhoi who is also the Thoubal District COVID-19 minister in-charge, on Monday inspected the medical oxygen plant which is being developed at the Thoubal District Hospital.
Concerning his visit, O Lukhoi said that all that is left for the oxygen plant at Thoubal district Hospital is the installation process. “After installation, which will be completed in a week, the plant will start functioning,” he assured.
“The team of engineers that will be handling the installation process is currently occupied at Churachandpur District Hospital where an oxygen plant is being installed,” O Lukhoi said, adding that as soon as the installation is completed in Churachandpur, the installation process at Thoubal District Hospital will start.
The minister further made a public appeal for people to strictly adhere to the guidelines issued by WHO, ICMR, and medical experts in order to defeat the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Besides a detailed examination of the state government’s COVID-19 initiatives taken up in Thoubal district, O Lukhoi also presided over a district level officers’ meeting which was held at the conference hall of DC Thoubal. During the meeting, the participants had an in-depth discussion on the present conditions of the district in regard to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The meeting was attended by MLA of Wangjing Tentha assembly constituency, Paonam Brojen; DC Thoubal, Rangnamei Rang Peter; SP Thoubal, S Ibomcha, and CMO Thoubal, Dr Y Nokul along with other district level officers.
