Minister Nemcha Kipgen calls on Union minister Prahlad Singh Patel

Minister Nemcha Kipgen handed over a proposal to Prahlad Singh Patel initiated by CM Biren for the development of infrastructure in the state's food processing industry.

Manipur Industry Minister Nemcha Kipgen on Wednesday called on union minister of state for food processing industries of India Prahlad Singh Patel at his official residence at New Delhi.

Nemcha Kipgen highlighted that the fruits, vegetables, and spices of Manipur have high quality and possess exportable unique values in the international market. She also apprised the union minister for special consideration for the development of food processing industries in Manipur.

She also proposed for value addition Infrastructure to cover all the districts of state to meet the huge demands and market of these fruits and vegetables in various parts of the world. 

During the visit, minister Nemcha Kipgen also handed over a proposal to Prahlad Singh Patel initiated by chief minister of Manipur N Biren Singh for the development of infrastructure in the food processing industry.

Commissioner, textiles, commerce and industry Pradeep Kumar Jha accompanied the minister during the visit. (DIPR)
