Kuki militants continue to target and burn houses of Meitei civilians in the outskirt region, including Leimakhong Chingmang in Kangpokpi district and Khurkhul in Imphal West district on Thursday, sources said.

According to the sources, two houses belonging to Meitei civilians at Leimakhong Chingmang were torched by Kuki militants around 11.45 am on Thursday.

The militants also attempted to torch the house of one Phuritsabam Jiban, a member of Khurkhul Ward No VII. Army personnel foiled the attempt and chased the militants away, the sources added.
