MHRC to conduct awareness programme on human rights in Jiribam

An official team of the Manipur Human Rights Commission (MHRC) led by acting chairperson Khaidem Mani will visit Jiribam district from January 27 to 30.

An official team of the Manipur Human Rights Commission (MHRC) led by its acting chairperson Khaidem Mani will be visiting Jiribam district from January 27 to 30, MHRC stated on Monday.

A camp sitting will be held at the Conference Hall of deputy commissioner, Jiribam, on January 29, at 10 am, a release stated.

The Commission will also organise an ‘Awareness Programme’ for police officers at the office of Superintendent of Police, Jiribam under the theme, ‘Needs of Police Reforms to ensure Human Rights,’ it added.

The release stated that during the camp sitting, the Commission shall hear various Human Rights Issues including, Right to health, Right to education, Right to work and Right to food, among others.

The concerned citizens of Jiribam district may raise any issues relating to Human Rights during the Hearing, it added.
