On the occasion of the 51st anniversary of Meghalaya statehood day celebration, driver to the Chief Minister's Office (CMO) Philington Lyngdoh was awarded the Excellence Award.

Taking to Twitter, Chief Minister Conrad Sangma said that Lyngdoh has been in service for the past five years. Lyngdoh has driven eight chief ministers of Meghalaya till date, the chief minister said.

"Sh. Philington Lyngdoh, Driver to @CMO_Meghalaya has driven me around for the past 5 yrs. He has driven 8 Chief Ministers of Meghalaya to date and he received the #MeghalayaDay Excellence Award today. It has been my honour to know this quiet & dedicated man. God bless, Bah Ling!" CM Conrad Sangma tweeted.
