An ‘IT Enabled Mega Convergence of Health – Nutrition – Education’ programme organised by the district administration was held at the auditorium hall of Jiribam Municipality Council in Jiribam district on Tuesday.
The mega convergence programme that was held virtually in the presence of Chief Minister N Biren Singh was broadcasted live to the people of Jiribam district.
The programme was attended by vice chairman Manipur Food Industries Corporation Limited K Saratkumar Singh; additional deputy commissioner, Jiribam Jameson Hangshing; Bharatiya Janata Party Spokesperson L Veerjit Singh and additional superintendent of police Th Sadananda Singh.
Vice chairman of MFICL K SaratKumar Singh said that the Social Welfare department has been making strenuous efforts to ensure health to a child from the moment it is conceived by a mother.
He further pointed out that the Education department ought to give education in a way that a child’s life can be honed and nurtured.
As a part of the occasion, vice-chairman of MFICL K Saratkumar Singh and ADC Jameson Hangshing handed out phones to 12 beneficiaries from Netaji High School, Latingkhal High School, Kalinagar Govt. High School, Kasturba Girls' High School, Borobekra Higher Secondary School, Auxiliary Nurse Midwife and Family Health Services.
It was also attended by workers of different Anganwadis and E – ASHAs.
