Dr Kshetrimayum Kala Singh, convenor medical cell BJP Manipur Pradesh, has been conducting free medical camps continuously for displaced people from May 5, 2023 at different relief camps of Khundrakpam Constituency Imphal East by providing necessary medicines.
Dr Kala in a press release said that many victims were suffering from fever, cough, diarrhoea, high blood pressure and eye infection mainly affecting the children.
The release also appealed to the volunteers at the relief camps to provide accommodation by maintaining social distance, to use face mask, to isolate fever patients from others.
Providing good sanitation, supplying pure drinking water is a must to prevent medical epidemic at the shelters and relief camps, the release added.
The release also mentioned that many victims are located at the relief camps of Pakhangba Community Hall Pangei, AASHA Club Khundrakpam Maning Leikai, YLL Club Khundrakpam Awang Leikai, Cosmopolitan School Chingkhu, Sambei Community Hall, Community Hall Pukhao, Sagolmang and Waiton.
Dr. Kala also lauded companies like Aristo, Microlab, Glenmark, FDC, Indchemic, Alembic, Johnson & Johnson and Strassenburg who helped the relief camps by providing necessary medicines for the stranded people.
