Robindro lauded the consistent help extended by many in converting into reality the long cherished dream to set up a temporary Mao market in Imphal. “This initiative is one of the strategic steps to bring oneness”, said Robindro.

He suggested that the bond between hill and valley would be stronger should there be market sheds in hills for valley people. “Setting up a market would help to exchange ideas, thought, beliefs, learn languages apart from just giving economic opportunities”, he added.

The MLA appealed to the people of the state to resolve any kind of issues through dialogue terming Manipur a mini-India inhabited by various communities. “Mutual understanding and respect between communities are the means to maintain peace in the state. If any kind of issue is created out of ideological differences or differences of interest, it should be addressed through dialogue or understanding instead of organising protest or agitation”, said the MLA.
