Manipur Weather: Minimum temperature rises to 5.09 degree Celsius

Senapati district recorded the lowest temperature while Tamenglong district recorded the highest temperature of 26.79 degree Celsius on Friday.

The minimum temperature in Manipur on Friday rose to 5.09 degree Celsius from 2.62 degree Celsius on Thursday while the maximum dipped to 26.79 degree Celsius, according to the climate change cell of the state Directorate of Environment and Climate Change.

The maximum temperature in Manipur on Thursday was recorded at 27.85 degree Celsius.

While Senapati district recorded the lowest temperature of 5.09 degree Celsius on Friday, the highest temperature of 26.79 degree Celsius was recorded in Tamenglong district. The maximum temperature in Senapati district was 21.16 degree Celsius.

On Thursday, Senapati recorded the lowest temperature of 2.62 degree Celsius.  

In Bishnupur district, the minimum temperature was 6.78 degree Celsius while the maximum was 22.07 degree Celsius.

Churachandpur district recorded a minimum temperature of 7.4 degree Celsius and a maximum of 23.8 degree Celsius.

The minimum temperature in Imphal East district was 6.55 degree Celsius while the maximum was recorded at 25.24 degree Celsius.

Imphal West district recorded a minimum temperature of 5.2 degree Celsius and the maximum of 21.94 degree Celsius.

In Kakching district, the minimum temperature was noted at 7.4 degree Celsius while the maximum was 22.86 degree Celsius.

Kangpokpi district recorded a minimum temperature of 6.12 degree Celsius and a maximum of 22.28 degree Celsius.

In Noney district, the minimum temperature rose to 8.86 degree Celsius while the maximum was 25.59 degree Celsius.

The minimum temperature in Tamenglong district was 8.95 degree Celsius while the maximum was 26.79 degree Celsius.

Tengnoupal district recorded a minimum temperature of 9.46 degree Celsius while its maximum was 26.31 degree Celsius.

Meanwhile, giving respite from the biting cold in Delhi, the minimum temperature in the national capital on Friday rose to 6.7 degrees Celsius, a notch above normal while the maximum was 19.2 degree Celsius, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). 

The IMD has predicted dense fog in parts of the city on Saturday. 

The national capital recorded a minimum temperature of 1.1 degree Celsius on January 1, the lowest for the month in 15 years.
