Demanding swift investigation and justice for the inhumane execution of two young students by suspected Kuki miscreants, several women of Achanbigei Apunba Meira Paibi Lup staged a sit in at Achanbigei Laishram Lampak, Imphal on Sunday.
Various placards demanding swift action against the culprits involved and calling upon the people to stand united during this tumultuous times were also held during the protest.
The protestors also extended condolence to the bereaved families of the two children by observing two-minute silence.

Speaking to the media on the sidelines of the protest, a protestor Soubam Sanatombi Chanu called upon all sections of the Manipuri society to strive collectively in resolving the long drawn crisis which has seriously impeded the lives of the common people.
“The demand for justice and a conclusive end to the entire conflict will only be possible when all communities and sections of Manipur strive as a united front,” she said.
She maintained that the people of Manipur were all on edge and could not bear to suffer any longer.

Our patience is tilting toward the breaking point as such authorities need to tread carefully and ramp up their operations before it is too late, she added.
She demanded authorities to deliver truth and justice for the brutal murders of the two innocent children and stated delay in such could result in catastrophic outpour of rage and dissatisfaction from the people.
