All Manipur Physiotherapy Association on Friday informed that the association will observe the upcoming World Physical Therapy Day 2024 at the community hall at Kumbi Leirak Achouba Laishang Leikai Lampak, Bishnupur district on September 8.
The theme for this year’s World Physical Therapy Day is “Low back pain (LBP) and the role of physiotherapy in its management and prevention”.
Speaking to the media at the Manipur Press Club, Imphal, secretary general of the association Dr Leishangthem Romenkumar Meitei stated that free physical therapy treatment would be provided to IDPs living in relief camps during this year’s observation.
“We will organise the treatment programme at various relief camps to help the displaced people,” he said.
He further exhorted physiotherapists with private clinics in all districts of the state to provide free treatment at their respective clinics.
He highlighted that the association had previously organised several free physiotherapy camps at various relief camps to help the IDPs.
