A security Coordination meeting was held on Saturday at Kangvai in Churachandpur led by the DC and SP of Churachandpur in the presence of OC of IRB, BSF, RAF, CRPF, Chief of Kangvai and Khousabung areas among others where various issues were also discussed.
The meeting was an on-going exercise by the district administration and the Churachandpur police following the outbreak of the crisis in the state, and what made Saturday’s meeting more important was that it was held at Kangvai village which has often borne the brunt of the crisis.
During the meeting, the DC spoke about the way in which relief materials were being distributed to the needy under the centre’s assistance while the SP asked the people of the frontline area to maintain normalcy and that the district police and thousands of central forces are ready to protect the innocent civilians in the frontline.
On the occasion, the chief of the village presented their problems like roads which were left neglected and others like inadequate relief materials, etc. for which the DC promised to do the best they can from their sources. The Security forces led by the SP also called upon everyone in the district to hand over the weapons that were looted from the state forces for which they said that time is running out.
Meanwhile, the District Administration, Churachandpur also provided relief materials to 16 relief centres run by CSOs of Churachandpur which have 17,152 inmates.
