A total shutdown has been effected in Churachandpur from 9 am on Saturday in view of the mass ‘Rally Against Education Negligence’ called by the Joint Students Body, Lamka. The rally will start from Lamka Public Ground, Hiangtam Lamka, till the Mini Secretariat, Tuibong.
During the rally, all shops will be closed and no movement of vehicles will be permitted until the rally is over; the rally is scheduled to start at 11 am from Lamka Public Ground.
Official of JSB, Lamka, Niangmuanching said that the rally is about Negligence of the Kuki-Zo students in the educational sector which needs immediate solution from the government.
She said that the BSc Nursing Examination was conducted successfully at Lamka but many issues cropped up like burning of documents, normal and immediate restoration of online examination centres, etc. which are already made known to the government but which are yet to materialise.
The efforts by the JSB, Lamka was supported by the Lamka Private Schools & College Association which promises full cooperation.
Meanwhile, in a release through its department of information and publicity, the KSO, Churachandpur said that they fully endorse the ‘Rally against Education Negligence’ and appealed to the public to come out in large numbers and support the efforts of the Joints Student Body, Lamka.
