Manipur Sahitya Samiti Thoubal on Sunday organised the association’s 28th Foundation Day celebration, during which two books were released at the residence of Lisam Ibochou at Thoubal Haokha Sorarel.
The event was attended by convenor of Manipur Language Advisory Board, Sahitya Academy, New Delhi Nongmaithem Kirankumar as the chief guest; president of Manipur Sahitya Samiti retired wing commander Akoijam Debendro as the president; and branch president of Manipur Sahitya Parishad Thoubal district branch Moirangthem Rajendra as the guest of honour.
As part of the foundation day, Lisam Ibochou’s book on collection of articles based on present education system titled, ‘Oja ama oina thengnajarakpa amasung phongdok chakhiba sing’, and Kharibam Meinodash’s Manipuri translation of a Hindi novel ‘Air Hostess’, were released.
Speaking on the occasion, Thounaojam Khomdon and Longjam Anand gave reviews on the two books.
