The Rongmei Naga Council Manipur, Ntayphay Luangrian Foothills on Saturday declared a total shutdown from Sunday midnight against the alleged failure of the Manipur government to deliver a positive response on the proposal for an Alternative Administration Arrangements to Noney district.

The indefinite total shutdown will come to effect along the National Highway 37, Tongjei Maril Road and Leimatak Loktak Project Road, said a statement issued by the media cell of Rongmei Naga Council Manipur Ntayphay.

However, medical emergencies with medical documents, electricity, water, education, public services, media are exempted from purview of the indefinite total shutdown, it said. Rongmei Naga Council Manipur urged all to extend support to the total shutdown.
