Pre-Board Examination for High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) conducted by All Manipur Recognised Private Schools’ Welfare Association (AMRPSWA) is set to be held from December 2-15.
During a press conference at Manipur Press Club on Friday, assistant secretary of AMRPSWA, P Rommen Singh, said that AMRPSWA has been organising pre-board examination for HSLC since 2005 with an objective to help students appear for the board examination with ease. For this year, the association has decided to conduct the examination from December 2 to December 15. As such, any interested students and parents should register through their respective schools and school authorities should submit the necessary documents on or before November 24, he added.
He further said that in the previous years, as many as 10,000 students had applied for the examination studying in around 200 different schools. This pre-board examination is more or less similar to board examination conducted by Board of Secondary Education Manipur (BOSEM), Singh said, adding that the questions would be set by an expert based on the question pattern of the BOSEM. Even the answer sheet would be similar to the one which will be provided during the board examination and hence, this examination is a kind of training on how to appear for the board examination, Singh said.
The examination is being held in the interest of students’ community, he added, while appealing to the people of the state not to impose any kind of bandh, general strike, blockade etc. during the said examination.
