Meitei Leima Lup ceased work and staged a counter sit-in-protest at Pallel market on Saturday against the Kuki-Zo rally in Delhi Jantar Mantar demanding for Union Territory.

The protestors held placards which read as ‘Remove KukI Narco terrorist from ST list’, ‘Separate administration is unfeasible in Manipur’, ‘Enlist Meitei/Meetei in ST list’, ‘Implement NRC in Manipur’, ‘Withdraw SoO with Kuki terrorists’.
Meanwhile, Kakching bazaar business welfare association (KBBWA) and Kakching keithel apunba ima lup (KKAIL) also ceased work and staged a counter protest at Kakching Lamjao Ima Panthoibi Sanglen, supporting the counter protest of Meitei Leima.
