Under the instruction of Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh and the directive of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), over 10,000 people enrolled for the primary membership while 200 others enrolled for active membership with the BJP on Tuesday.
MLA Sapam Kunjakeswor Singh, also known as Keba, made this statement to the media during the mass enrolment drive held at his residence in Sagolband Tera Sapam Leirak, Imphal West.
He mentioned that the large turnout for the mass enrolment reflects the progressive mindset of the people of Manipur. He further appreciated the overwhelming response to the BJP’s enrolment drive.
Regarding the situation of the two missing youths, he stated that the government has been taking various initiatives to ensure their safe rescue.
