Manipur: Mercury rises slightly; cold weather prevails

The lowest temperature of 3.52 degree Celsius was recorded in Senapati district on Saturday

The minimum temperature in Manipur on Saturday rose by a few notches above the previous day's, but cold wave condition persisted on the second day of the new year, according to the climate change cell of the state Directorate of Environment and Climate Change.

The lowest temperature of 3.52 degree Celsius was recorded in Senapati district on Saturday while its maximum was 22.36 degree Celsius, as per the updates from the state Directorate of Environment and Climate Change.

Tengnoupal district with 25.3 degree Celsius recorded the highest maximum temperature in the state on Saturday while the minimum temperature was 10.6 degree Celsius.

In Bishnupur district, the minimum temperature was 6.3 degree Celsius while the maximum was 20.34 degree Celsius.

Churachandpur district recorded a minimum temperature of 8.58 degree Celsius and a maximum of 24.8 degree Celsius.

The minimum temperature in Imphal East district was 7.08 degree Celsius while the maximum was recorded at 24 degree Celsius.

Imphal West district recorded a minimum temperature of 4.16 degree Celsius and maximum of 20.96 degree Celsius.

In Kakching district, the minimum temperature was 6.21 degree Celsius while maximum was 17.42 degree Celsius.

Kangpokpi district recorded minimum temperature of 4.92 degree Celsius and maximum of 22.45 degree Celsius.

In Noney district the minimum temperature was 8.72 degree Celsius while the maximum was 24.63 degree Celsius.

The minimum temperature in Tamenglong district was 9.93 degree Celsius while the maximum was 24.81 degree Celsius.

On Friday, Manipur recorded a minimum temperature of 2.76 degree Celsius while the maximum was 29.93 degree Celsius.
