Seven local clubs of Patsoi assembly constituency jointly organised a sit-in-protest against the abduction and killing of two students at Sagolband Tera Sapam Leirak along NH-37 in Imphal West on Wednesday.
After CBI arrested the four accused persons in connection with the murder case of the two students, various sections from the society are intensifying the demand to deliver justice for the two students, namely Hijam Linthoingambi and Phijam Hemanjit.
The four accused were arrested by a joint team of CBI, state and central forces from Henglep area of Churachandpur district.

Various local bodies are holding protests at their respective localities to get justice for the two students and to handover the bodies to the bereaved families.
Meira paibis under the jurisdictions of seven local clubs of Patsoi assembly constituency namely, Ideal Club; Juvinil Club; UPDO; Nalamshang; Neinashang; Kyspa and Young Bright Star Club jointly demonstrated a sit-in at Sagolband Tera Sapam Leirak along NH-37.
Both the students are from Patsoi assembly constituency.
One Khuraijam Thasana Devi, a protestor, said the government has arrested some accused persons in connection with the murder case of the two students. She demanded that they should be given capital punishment.

The people of Manipur are demanding to wipe out all the Kuki Narco-terrorists from Manipur in order to bring a permanent solution to the drugs issue, she added.
